Spur Gears – Why to Choose Them
With Spur gears, life today has become much more convenient and comfortable. A gear is a rotating machine part having cut teeth, which mesh with another toothed part in order to transmit mechanism. When two gears of unequal number of teeth are combined a mechanical advantage is produced. Spur Gears are used to transmit rotary motion between parallel shafts, normally with a constant ratio and the shafts rotate in opposite directions. Spur Gears are the most simple and commonly used gears and they have the highest possible efficiency of all gear types.
